We are going to be oceanographers this summer. Join us as we learn about God’s blue planet!
DAY 1
Bible/copywork: Genesis 1:9-10, look up verse, read aloud, illustrate. Make a summer journal or a notebook (you may use a binder). Add your illustration and verse to your journal.
Literature: Read 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne (3 chapters daily) You may choose to have the kids draw what they imagine the “sea monster” to look like as you read aloud to them.
Geography: map and label and label oceans and continents. Add map to your journal/notebook.
Click HERE for a wonderful variety of maps. From small one page maps to large 7 feet across maps. have fun making these together. Have kids research in your library books or online for the names of the oceans and continents. This will help them remember them all the better.
